Described Nieto Taberné (1994: 451) and (2001:63) as a Romanesque font practically identical to the one at nearby Valdemeca; both have the same hemispherical basin (these rest directly on the ground) ornamented with a band of geometric motif resembling stars or flowers or, at a strech, even multi-armed crosses; the underbowl is ornamented with a blind arcade, the arches looking very Mozarabic. The same source [cf. supra] informs that these fonts have been some times dated to the 11th century, though he believes it to be too early a date. [cf. Index entry for the fonts at Valdemeca and La Almarcha, both locations not very far from Laguna del Marquesado.
