Font Notes:
Described and illustrated in Nieto Taberné (1994) and (2001). Noted and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla-La Mancha: Cuenca (2009), which gives the font at nearby Las Zomas as sharing the general shape and the rope moulding at the lower level of underbowl. The basin is almost hemispheric in shape, mounted on s short square base; the basin has a band of zig-zag at the upper register of the side and a thick protruding rope motif on the lower underbowl.; the base, which may or not be the original, appears to have some sort of round motif under a moulding but it is now very worn. The upper rim retains one (?) of the metal staples of the old cover.
