Described in Nieto Taberné (1994: 450) and (2001: 38) as a magnificent example of the type of Romanesque baptismal font found in the province; the basin has a wide braid motif below the rope moulded rim; farther down the side is a blind arcade of double arches resting on columns which continue all the way down to the bottom moulding; there are foliage motifs in the spandrels of the arcade; the cylindrical pedestal base is ornamented with nail-head (?). Noted and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla-La Mancha: Cuenca (2009), which mentions similarities with the fonts at Cañamares, La Frontera and Zarzuela de la Sierra. There is some damage to the upper rim and sides; the squat base is very worn.
