On-site notes: a large round basin -halfway between hemispherical and cylindrical- has been raised on a pile of rubble and cemented into a corner at the back of the church, on the north side, and whitewashed. We were told that it had been used as storage for the tithe oil; it sits now [June 1999] full of junk. [NB: no reference to this font found any of the regular sources for this valley]
