A strange, though, we believe, not unique, type of font: it is built as if half of it were embeded in the wall, although it really is just half-a-basin built against a cavity in the wall. A small 'fontlet' has been placed inside the larger basin, the shape of the former being rounded at the back and flat, with ornamentation, at the front; there is a regular water-tap fitted to the outside of the basin. The short pedestal base has flower motif ornamentation on its sides. Like the church itself, the font is made of coarse local granite.
