On-site notes: this font is probably a composite of different parts; the basin appears to be recently cleaned sandstone, a hemispheric basin with a thin strip of rope motif around the centre; the base is made up of a number of pieces, obviously from different sources, including the very bottom, which looks like an upside-down flower-pot. There is no cover present but the basin side has a metal staple to which an old cover would have been locked.
