Listed in Guerra (1986 c1978) as an immersion baptismal font of the Romanesque period. Valle Barreda (2009) reports a baptismal font of the Romanesque period in this church, originally from the Ermita de Santa Marina de Revilla. It is noted and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del románico [https://www.romanicodigital.com/sites/default/files/pdfs/files/burgos_GUMIEL_DE_IZÁN.pdf] [accessed 2 December 2025]: "En la misma capilla del Rosario se conserva una pila bautismal procedente de la ermita de Santa Marina de Revilla de Gumiel; tiene copa hemisférica de 126 cm de diámetro y 77 cm de altura, decorándose con arquerías ciegas de medio punto muy similares a las de la pila de Reveche."
On-site notes: large unmounted basin stands on its side; there is a large vertical crack on the basin; the sides appear ornamented with an arcade of narrow arches that perhaps framed standing figures (?) but it is too eroded to discern the details. Hinges evident in the rim; currently [29 May 1999] under repair; said to be originally from a nearby rural chapel known as Ermita de Santa Marina de Revilla. [NB: the font is recorded as being displayed inside the church Santa Maria at Gumiel de Hizan in 2014 [cf. Images Area]]
