Font Notes:
Described and illustrated by Huerta Huerta in Soria románica (2001) as one of three fonts originally from abandoned villages of the area and now kept in the cloister of the Cathedral. He identifies the foliage motif on this font as a common type on other fonts of the area, of which he cites Calatañazor, Blacos and Cantalucía, as well as the stoup at Nódalo. Noted in García Gómez (2007) as ["Burgo de Osma 2"] a Romanesque font somewhat similar to the one at Olmillos. On-site notes: the basin is hemispheric and its sides are covered in very shallow foliage motif ornamentation; the lower part of one basin side has a large diagonal crack; there are two iron staples at the upper rim from the original font cover lock. The base on which it is mounted, a rectangular block with a side hole is obviously not the original. The origin of the font is not known / recorded.
