The font has a plain hemispheric basin which, with the added dome cover, resembles a perfect sphere. It rests on a cylindrical column and a square lower base. The whole font appears to be made of a rose-coloured marble, of which other parts of the church are also made. There is a large square plinth of two steps (description based on plate 63, Ullen, 1995)
