The Romanesque holy-water stoup was carved out of a marble capital adorned with a human head and animals (Buron, 1980, p.294). The French Wikioedia entry for this church [https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Église_Saint-Jean_de_Saint-Jean-Lasseille] [accessed 22 February 2025] informs: "L'église possède un remarquable bénitier en marbre blanc décoré de lions et de volutes, possiblement daté du troisième quart du XIIe siècle. Il pourrait s'agir d'un remploi d'un chapiteau de colonne issu de l'abbaye Saint-André-de-Sorède."
