Described in Buron (1980); described and ilustrated in Catalunya romànica (1984- ): monolithic limestone baptismal font of the Romanesque period; it appears almost cylindrical with a chamfered underbowl; the sides are adorned with two rope motifs, top and bottom of the basin sides, with a third one right at the bottom of the base. The font has a plain flat wooden cover and a staple to secure it to the front side. According to the Inventari del Patrimoni Arquitectònic de Catalunya [https://invarquit.cultura.gencat.cat/card/10744] [accessed 2 January 2024] the baptismal font here is one of three objects remaning from the medieval church ["Resten a l'església 3 peces romàniques importants: dos permòdols amb forma de cap d'home i d'una fera i una pila [sic] baptismal"]. The entry for this church in the Enciclopedia del románico [www.romanicodigital.com] lists a monolithic bucket-shaped Romanesque baptismal font made of limestone made probably in the 12th or 13th century; it suggests the fonts at Sant Cristòfol de Beget and the one at Santa Maria de Puigpardines as cognates ["Pila bautismal. The font here is noted and illustrated in Solà Colomer (2005).
