Listed in Cobreros (1993) as a baptismal font of the Romanesque period. Described in López de Silanes Valgañón (2000) as a Romanesque baptismal font in the style of the one at Muro de/en Cameros, but without the cross symbol present in the latter. Noted and illustrated in Sáenz Rodríguez (2004) as a baptismal font of the Romanesque period from the Sierra de Cameros workshop. Described and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del románico en La Rioja (2008) as a baptismal font of the 12th century that shares general design and some motifs with the fonts at Jalón de Cameros and Almarza de Cameros, both products of the Sierra de Cameros workshop, as is probably this one; the basin sides have the arcade of fifteen round arches, an eight-spoke wheel (?) inscribed in a circle, two potent crosses inscribed in circles; near the upper rim are four incised crosses; the lower basin side has the common band of circles all around; the base is round, with two levels of decoration: the lower part has fluted pattern; above it area: four ball motifs, a human figure on horseback, two human figures (one of which almost obliterated), and a spear-man on foot [NB: the lower end of the base is under the wooden flooring now, but enough of it is visible through the space to show that there are angle decorations [spurs?]. There are two metal staples from an old cover locking mechanism in the upper rim; the present cover is a crude work: plain, flat and round.
