Church Notes: A rare sight in Spain: round Romanesque church; very plain. Dating of the church not settled (Viñayo González, 1987, c. 1979, p. 387), but probably built by 1202 [also in www.castillodeloarre.org/Salamanca/02-SanMarcos.htm [accessed 6 April 2013]]
Font Notes:
Noted and illustrated in Viñayo González, (1987 c1979). On-site notes: the tall tub-shaped basin has four large blocks at the upper rim level, at 90-degree angles, but it is otherwise plain; short octagonal base, not matched to the font and perhaps of a later date.
