Described and illustrated in García Guinea (1990) and (1998). Described in Bilbao (1996). Baptismal font of ther Romanesque period; G-G (ibid.) suggests a late 12th-century dating and a similarity with the work of the workshop at San Andrés de Arroyo; the upper part of the basin is ornamented with interlace; the centre part has fine vegetal braiding and palmettes forming cross shapes; the base is round and decorated with reticular pattern. Described in Martín Jiménez (2008). One metal staple from the old font cover remaining in the upper rim; where the other one was there is damage to the rim now. The font is mounted on a round decorated lower base, and a two-step circular plinth. The intricate carved ornamentation on this font is of the highest-quality workmanship. There is an object resembling a font basin in another alcove of this church; it appears to have been built into the wall; it has a rope moulding at the upper rim and a ribbed apttern below; not medieval; rather modern; function unknown.
