Martín González (1977) identifies the font as Romanesque. Bilbao (1996) and García Guinea (1998) describe it as a polygonal basin ornamented with quatrefoils and a base shaped like a truncated pyramid. Noted in Martín Jiménez (2008). The basin is really round, but the piping and moulding make it polygonal; there is no real base, but the underbowl is round, the shape of an inverted truncated cone. Most of the motifs are 4-petaled flowers, but at least one is a hexapetal one, also inscribed in a circle.
