Described in Martín González (1977- ). Described and illustrated in Bilbao (1996) and in García Guinea (1998): baptismal font of the Romanesque period; G-G (ibid.) dates it to the late 12th century; among the fat ribs of the outer sides of the basin is a human figure with the right hand raised and the left holding an object (a book?); near his head is another human head; at the feet of the figure, two snakes, one to each side. Bilbao (ibid.) suggests the figure may be Virgin Mary; the lower base is round and plain. [NB: the font is illustrated in Bilbao and G-G with a plant in it, obviously being used as a vase at the time, i.e., 1996-1998]. Described in Martín Jiménez (2008) with date in the 12th century.
