Described in Bilbao (1996) and in García Guinea (1998): baptismal font of the Romanesque period; only upper side and rim of the basin have ornamentation: checkered at the very rim, with floral and/or star motifs below. Noted in Martín Jiménez (2008). The font consists of a bucket-shaped basin that has the ornamentation indicated above, while the rest of the font is plain; the lower base is chamfered and a few inches wider than the bottom of the tapering basin; circular plinth now sunk at ground level. The back of the basin has damage at the upper rim, probably from an anchor for an old font cover; the font was broken horizontally right through, and cracked vertically, hence the use of a metal band to keep it together; the vertical cracks are now cemented together and the band has been removed. No cover present.
