Noted in Bilbao (1996) and García Guinea (1998) as a baptismal font of the Romanesque period. Described and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla y León (2002-) as a font probably of the 13th century. The basin is, like many of the Romanesque fonts in the area, bucket-shaped and mounted on a short base, in this case a later one as it appears; the upper surface of the upper rim has two incised lines all around, also common in the fonts of the area, the outer end done in rope motif; below, a band of inscribed patté crosses and six-petal flowers, the lower end of the band done in a braided motif; below, a series of patterns and motifs arranged diagonally: rows of ball and honeycomb motif; one of the sides has three birds, the top one appears to be a rooster, the two below look like doves; seprated from these by a honeycomb pattern is a lion regardant, with the usual twisted tail; there is damage to the upper rim and side right where the second iron staple of the cover was; the other staple is still in place at the opposite side of the rim. The base is larger than the typical ones found in the area and probably of a later date, the upper half decorated with a foliage pattern, perhaps fern leaves. Noted in Martín Jiménez (2008).
