Described in Bilbao (1996) and García Guinea (1998): baptismal font of the Romanesque period; G-G (ibid.) dates it to the late 12th or 13th century. The entry for this church in the Enciclopedia del románico [https://www.romanicodigital.com/sites/default/files/pdfs/files/palencia_PERAZANCAS_DE_OJEDA.pdf] [accessed 11 August 2021] notes: "También románica es la pila bautismal conservada en el primitivo ábside. Presenta copa troncocónica lisa de 107 cm de diámetro y 88 cm de altura cuyo único ornato es el bocel de su borde, bajo el que corre una banda de zigzag incisa. Se asienta sobre basamento cilíndrico decorado con una banda de contario." Noted in Martín Jiménez (2008). The font consists of a bucket-shaped basin decorated with a round mouldng at the upper rim and a an incised zigzag pattern below; damaged sides; raised on a broad cylindrical base decorated with a single beaded-tape band all around. There is no cover present and there are no metal staples in the rim, but there appears to have been modern repairs to the rim at opposite ends, which may indicate that there was damage caused by metal staples of an old cover there in the past. [cf. Index entry for Perazancas de Ojeda No. 2 for the nearby Ermita de San Pelayo, said to be of early (?) Romanesque construction].
