Described and illustrated in García Guinea (1990) and (1998), where a dating of the 12th or 13th century is suggested for the font. Described and partially illustrated in Bilbao (1996). Baptismal font of the Romanesque period; the basin is roughly bucket-shaped and is ornamented with a schematic female figure, identified as the Virgin (ibid.); the figure is portrayed full front and rigidly, both hands to her chest, inside a rectangular frame on one side of the basin; the lower base has ball-and-claw motif at each of the four angles. G-G (1998) suggests that the pleats of the robes appear somewhat reminiscent of those on the Moarves font [cf. Index entry for Moarves de Ojeda]. Noted in Martín Jiménez (2008) with date at the end of the 12th century.
