Font Notes:
Described in Bilbao (1996); described and illustrated in García Guinea (1998): baptismal font of the Romanesque period; the basin sides show two registers ornamented with flowers, palmettes, tree-like motifs, separated by a band of zig-zag; four crosses are visible at the rim; the base is round. Damage is present at opposite sides of the upper rim, a result of an attempt to remove the iron staples of the old cover, a common and unfortunate practice that often results in irreparable damage. Noted in Martín Jiménez (2008).
