Described in Bilbao (1996); described and illustrated in García Guinea (1990) and (1998): baptismal font of the Romanesque period, dated in G-C (ibid.) to the late 12th century; one of the bucket-shaped basin sides shows a half-destroyed fortress around which can be seen tree-like shapes and circles containing flowers, radii and crosses [NB: this side appears to be hidden against the wall now [2011]]; damage to the upper rim probably due to the metal staples of an old cover; the present cover, plain, round and flat is modern; the basin stands directly on a wide circular plinth, in a small alcove at the west end of the nave. Noted in Martín Jiménez (2008).
