Described and illustrated in Sancho Campo (1971) as a Romanesque-Visigothic baptismal font ["románico-visigótica"]; the Visigothic component is, according to Sancho Campo (ibid.) emphasised in the nature of the base and in some of the motifs on the basin sides. In Martín González (1977-); in García Guinea (1990) and (1998), who shies away from the dating because it lacks any characteristic that might help to provide a reasonable clue [="de difícil cronología y con ninguna característica especial que pueda razonablemente fecharla"]; in (Bilbao, 1996). In Martín Jiménez (2008). On-site notes: the font consists of a bucket-shaped basin mounted on a quadrangular lower base; there are two grooves around the upper surface of the rim, as well as two metal staples from an old cover hardware; there is also dama to one side of the upper rim, with a small chunk of stone missing; the upper side of the basin side is ornamented with a band of rosettes; the lower side is ornamented with a band of interlace, like chain-link, although it appears to foliate in some parts; in between, two large incised Greek crosses [re-carved?]. The quadrangular lower base is slightly trapezoidal, plain except for a moulding at the arrises and may or may not be part of the original font.
