Described in Bilbao (1996). Noted and illustrated in Valle Barreda (2009). The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 8 July 2021] notes: "Tiene su iglesia dedicada a San Martín, obispo, y es renacentista [...] La pila es románica, con rosetas en borde, copa lisa, pie moldurado y cilíndrico y base cuadrada". No entry found for this village in the Enciclopedia del románico [www.romanicodigital.com]. Baptismal font of the Romanesque period; the roughly-hemispherical basin has a band of six-petal flowers combined with eight-spoke wheels, all inscribed in circles at the front; the back is not decorated; the tall chamfered underbowl is also plain; raised on a round-to-square pedestal base with a double roll moulding at the upper end, the rest plain; the basin is badly damaged at opposite ends, apparently at the anchorage points of the old cover. No cover present.
