Described in Bilbao (1996) as a baptismal font of the Romanesque period. Described and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla y León (2002- ), which gives the fonts at Villamayor de Treviño, Villegas and Rebolledo de Traspeña as having similar decorative motifs; the ribbed basin is ornamented with a braided interlace and a lower vegetal motif border on its outer side; the inner well of the basin has concave ribs; the base is round and may be covered in concrete; there is one metal staple at the upper rim of the basin. The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 4 November 2021] notes: "Su iglesia está dedicada a San Esteban, protomártir, y es gótica [...] La pila, buena, es románica de vaso con gallones, avenerada por dentro, con dos anillos vegetales y pie cónico".
