Described and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del románico [www.romanicodigital.com] [accessed 3 March 2022]: "una sencilla pila bautismal románica, de copa semiesférica, con bocel en la embocadura, banda acanalada, cenefa de entrelazo en la parte superior y gallones en el resto. Se alza sobre un fuste acanalado en espiral y basa ática, siendo sus medidas 102 cm de diámetro × 93 cm de altura total." The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed March 2022] notes: "Un poco apartada del pueblo y en terreno más elevado está situada su iglesia, dedicada a la Invención de la Santa Cruz [...] La pila, buena, es románica con gallones y anillo entrelazado, pie cilíndrico con molduras y base cuadrada". Baptismal font of the Romanesque period; the ribbed basin is decorated with a two-strand interlace below a band of short piping with little ringlets between them, around the upper side; the round-to-square base is ornamented with round arch-heads on the round volume. Plain round wooden cover of modern appearance.
