Font Notes:
The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 10 July 2021] notes: "La iglesia –un poco apartada del pueblo–, está dedicada a San Pedro Apóstol y es renacentista [...] Described in Bilbao (1996) as a baptismal font of the Romanesque period. Described and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla y León (2002- ), which gives the fonts at Cuzcurrita de Juarros, Cueva de Juarros and Palazuelos de la Sierra as cognates; the sandstone basin is ornamented with a blind arcade of twelve round arches; the base is round and plain; the upper rim of the basin retains two of the metal staples for an old cover [="En el interior se conserva la antigua pila bautismal de tipología románica, guardada bajo el coro.
