Described in Bilbao (1996) as a baptismal font of the Romanesque period. Described and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla y León (2002- ) with dating doubtful and perhaps made by a local mason; the round basin -somehwere between hemispheric and bucket-shaped- is ornamented with an arcade of round arches; the round base is plain. The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 20 January 2022] notes: "iglesia dedicada a san Esteban, protomártir. Y es renacentista […] La pila es románica, de vaso, con molduras en borde, arcos incisos y sogueado en base circular".
