The octagonal pedestal font is visible in a photograph in Claude Andrault-Schmitt's Limousin gothique (Paris: Picard, 1997), p. 299. Only one side of the basin, probably the south-west, is clearly distinguishable in the illustration: it shows a stylised quadruped with its tail, lion's-like, over its back; the sides to the left and right of this show some kind of ornamentation as well. The inside of the basin is round. The base appears to be square/rectangular
