Described in Bilbao (1996) as a baptismal font of the end of the 12th century, similar to the one at Santa Olalla del Valle, and to the ones at Eterna, Fresneda de la Sierra and Barbadillo de Herreros, and probably of the same date; the hemispheric basin is ornamented with a vegetal garland and zig-zag motif; the underbowl is ribbed; mounted on a round base; the inner well is decorated with concave ribs. The upper rim retains two large metal staples from the old cover. Described and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla y León (2002- ). The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 11 April March 2021] notes: "Su iglesia, dedicada a San Esteban, es de pobre construcción", but mentions no font in it. There is an old stone holy-water stoup by the south entranceway; it consists of a bucket-shaped basin decorated with an arcade of narrow round arches on the sides, and a skull-and-bones symbol at the front; stands on a round pedestal base with a single roll moulding about half-way down.
