Described and illustrated in Karlsson (1989: 137 and ill. on p. 136) and in Herrero Marcos (1996): beautiful example of a Transiition font; the round bowl has ball-in-socket pattern carved right on the rim; on one side, a bearded head full-front; the sides of the bowl are covered in broad ribs carved into round arches at the top; the short base is rectangular but containd a round pedestal with four lions, just the heads and front paws, looking out at the corners. The carving is described in this source as deep and vigorous.
