There are four entries for [North] Cave in the Domesady survey [http://domesdaymap.co.uk/place/SE8932/north-cave/] [accessed 31 July 2014]; one of the parts, in the lordship and chief tenancy of Hugh son of Baldric, reports a priest and a church in it. English Heritage [Listing NGR: SE8968432729] (1968) notes: "Church. Late C12 lower part of tower, late C13 nave and chancel, C15 clerestory and upper part of tower, porch of 1753", but mentions no font in it. There is no mention of a fiont in this church in Pevsner & Neave (1995).
