Listed in Cox & Harvey (1907) as a baptismal font of the Early English period. Listed in Tyrrell-Green (1928) as one in a very large group of baptismal fonts that are plain octagonal with straightsided basins. The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: SE8782982912] informs: "Church. C14 nave, porch and chancel; early C15 tower. Chancel restored 1870; nave, porch and tower re-roofed and partly rebuilt 1881-3 [...] C15 octagonal font on cylindrical pedestal." [cf. Index entry for Allerston No. 2 for a stoup of about the same date]
