The entry for this parish in Bulmer's 1892 county directory [www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/YKS/ERY/FullSutton/FullSutton92] [accessed 24 October 2019] notes; "The font is of Caen stone, and octagonal in shape." The entry for this parish in the Victoria County History (York East Riding, vol. 3, 1976) notes: "Full Sutton church was first mentioned in the early 13th century [...] The church of ST. MARY, of ashlar, consists of chancel with north vestry, and nave with west bellcot and south porch. The church was in decay in 1615, [...] and in 1723-4 the porch was repaired and a buttress rebuilt. [...] The whole church was rebuilt and enlarged in 1844-5, partly with old masonry. [...] The chancel is in a 14th-century style and the nave has some small reset windows of the 15th century"; no font mentioned. Cox & Harvey (1907: 229) list a baptismal font of the Decorated period in this church. The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: SE7475155464] notes: "Church. Medieval origins: rebuilt, using old materials 1844-5"; no font mentioned.
