Listed in Cox & Harvey (1907) as a baptismal font of the Norman period. The font consists of wide cylindrical basin with vertical sides raised on a narrower cylindrical stem, both totally plain; the basin well is not lined and has a central drain hole; the whole is raised on what appears to be a modern concrete plinth. The wooden font cover is flat and round, with an exgerated finial, also modern. The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: SE7888551961] informs: "Church. Probably C13, raised in C19 [...] C12 font: shallow circular basin on a cylindrical pier on an unusual broad shallow base: perhaps a millstone." The entry for this church in the CRSBI [https://www.crsbi.ac.uk/view-item?i=13609] [accessed 17 February 2025] informs: "Font. Shallow cylindrical bowl set on cylindrical pillar, possibly original. This stands on a modern plinth and wide circular platform. The underside of the bowl has a shallow chamfered into the pillar, and the horizontal rim has narrow chamfers both in and outside the basin. Basin shallow; rounded; without lead lining or the rebate for it. Comparable with the font at Lockington."
