Noted in Sheahan & Whellan (1857): "an ancient circular font". Listed in Cox & Harvey (1907) as a Norman baptismal font with a circular bowl ornamented with cable moulding. Ditto in Tyrrell-Green (1928). The font is monolithic, an almost cylibdrical basin with a slight tapering towards the base; two rope mouldings, one at the upper rim, ther around the middle, marking the two volumes of basin and base; on a round plinth. The wooden coveris round and flat, with metal decoration and a Latin cross finial; modern.[NB: the font may have been partly re-tooled]
