Noted in Parker (1855) as a font of the Decorated period. The National Gazetteer of 1868 remarks: "The pulpit and font are curious specimens of antique workmanship". Listed in Cox & Harvey (1907) as a baptismal font of the Decorated period. Listed in Tyrrell-Green (1928) as one in a very large group of baptismal fonts that are plain octagonal with straightsided basins. The underbowl is moulded, as is the octagonal pedestal base. The wooden font is octagonal and flat, with metal decoration and ring handle; appears modern.
