Noted as an Early English font in this church in the Transactions of the Thoroton Society (1900). In Cox (1912): "Under tower is plain octagonal font, late 14th cent.; over it a modern tabernacled cover." Listed in Cox & Harvey (1907) and in Guilford (1927) as a baptismal font of the Early English period.
