Listed in Cox & Harvey (1907) and in Guilford (1927) as baptismal font of the Norman period. Cox (1912) writes: "Norm[an] font is the oldest relic, circular and arcaded, c. 1120; only bowl remains, much mutilated, and now stands about 2 ft. from floor, to which it is cemented." Guilford (1927) describes it as "a much mutilated Norman font".
