Lewis' Dictionary of 1848 reports "a fine octagonal font" in this church. In Parker (1849): "Font circa 1450, octagonal, with quatrefoil on each side, shaft panelled." Dated in Cox & Harvey (1907) to the Perpendicular period. Noted in Mee (1945): "The font [...] has flowers in quatrefoil panels and on the cornice between the bowl and the shaft, all 14th century." Pevsner & Cherry (1973) give St. Peter and St. Paul as the dedication of the church, and descibe the font: "Octagonal, Perp[endicular], with shields in quatrefoils. Panelled stem."
