The is an entry for this Corby [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [https://opendomesday.org/place/SP8988/corby/] [accessed 19 May 2019]; it mentions a priest, but not a church, in it, toughthere must have been one there. Cox & Harvey (1907) list a baptismal font of the Early English period here. The font is noted in Mee (1945) simply as medieval. In Pevsner & Cherry (1973): "Circular, with six low dog-tooth arches at the bottom of the bowl; C13." The font here is described and illustrated in the CRSBI (2019) entry for this church: "The font is recorded here, although it is almost certainly 13thc. [...] In S aisle to W of S doorway. The bowl is cylindrical with six pointed arches around the lower part, each decorated with a row of dogtooth. It stands on a cylindrical stem with a chamfered base from which rise six en-delit shafts, positioned at the springing of the arches but without capitals. The ensemble stands on a broad, low modern step. The bowl is lined with lead. [...] Fonts decorated with dogtooth are also found in the county at Magdalen College Brackley and at Hinton-in-the-Hedges, but both of these are more elaborately decorated with foliage as well as dogtooth." The entry for this church in Histori England [Listing NGR: SP8983788772] notes: "Church. Late C12, early C13, C14, datestone 1625, restored 1900. [...] Late C12 circular font with dogtooth arcading."
