Described and illustrated in Parker (1849): "The font has Norman bowl, of some merit: the rest is of later date." In Whellan (1849), after Parker (1849). Listed in Cox & Harvey (1907) as a noteworthy example of the Norman period. In Pevsner & Cherry (1973): "Circular, Norman, with saltire crosses, interlace and (re-cut) leaves." The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: SP6696275636] reports: "Church. C13, C14 and C19. North aisle added and chancel restored by E.F. Law 1870 [...] Font, C12, circular with saltire crosses and leaves; probably recut."
