Lewis' Dictionary of 1848 reports "a curiously sculptured font" in this church. Listed in Cox-Harvey (1907) as a stone baptismal font of the Perpendicular period. Listed in Cautley (1982) in a group of 15th-century heraldic fonts in Suffolk. Illustrated in Knott (2008). The octagonal basin has deeply-carved sides with four angels holding charged shields alternating with unidentified figures; the underbowl chamfer has two levels: the upper one has angel heads, the lower one has a rosette on each side; the stem is square, with sedente lions at the angles and buttresses on the sides.
