There is an entry for Horsford [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [http://domesdaymap.co.uk/place/TG1915/horsford/] [accessed 15 April 2014] but it mentions neither nor cleric in it. Blomefield (1805-1810) writes: "The Church is dedicated to All-Saints, and was a rectory [...] but appropriated to the priory of Horsham St. Faith's, and a vicarage was settled in the patronage of that house [...] In 1335, Henry de Horsham, instituted vicar, presented by the prior of Horsham [...] It consists of one isle or a nave, and a chancel thatched, and a north chapel, covered with tile, a square tower, and 3 bells." The present font here is listed in Cox & Harvey (1907) as a baptismal font of the Norman period. Described in Pevsner & Wilson (1997): "Square, Norman, of Purbeck marble, each side with four shallow blank arches." Noted and illustrated in Knott (2009). Four shallow round arches on each side of the square basin; the lead lining of the bowl extends to the outer margins of the basin top; raised on a broad central and four angle colonnettes, and a quadrangular lower base; some of the supporting columns appear to be modern replacements; the lower base and plinth are both modern. The wooden cover is round and flat; it could be old; has odd contraption as finial [is it detachable?] serving as candle-holder. [NB: we found no record of this church earlier than 1335, but there must have been an earlier church if the font belonged here].
