There is an entry for [Brant] Boughton [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [https://opendomesday.org/place/SK9154/brant-broughton/] [accessed 8 October 2018]; it reports a priest and a church in it. Cox & Harvey (1907) list a baptismal font of the Perpendicular period here [Cox & Harvey have it listed as 'Broughton Brant']. Noted in Pevsner, Harris and Antram (1989): "Font. Octagonal, with quatrefoils and big leaves against the underside. Font cover. 1889 by Thomas Garner." The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: SK9154053897] notes: "Parish church.
