There is an entry for this Radbourne [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [http://domesdaymap.co.uk/place/SK2836/radbourne/] [accessed 6 February 2015], but it mentions neither cleric nor church in it. Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales (1870-1872) reports an ancient font in this church. Kelly's Directory of the Counties of Derby, Notts, Leicester and Rutland (1891) notes: "the font, which originally belonged to Dale Abbey, has a splendidly carved oaken cover". Cox & Harvey (1907) list a noteworthy baptismal font in this place. English Heritage [Listing NGR: SK2859335991] (1967), however, reports: "Parish church. C13, early C14, C15, Cl7, porch added 1792, repaired 1844. [...] to west end of nave is the C19 octagonal stone font on coloured marble columns which has a sumptuously carved Jacobean weighted cover." [NB: the font originally from Dale Abbey is said to have been returned to the abbey church in 1884, but the old font cover remained at Radbourne St. Andrew's]
