No individual entry found for Newton Reigny in the Domesday survey. Cox & Harvey (1907) list a baptismal font of the Norman period here. Cox (1913) adds: "Circular font has a diameter of 24 in." The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: NY4798431601] (1967) reports: "Parish church. Late C12 and C13 with extensive restoration of 1876 by Ewan Christian. [...] Interior of nave has C12 font on C19 stem". The only decoration on the cylindrical basin is a roll moulding at the upper rim. Flat round cover; appears modern.
