Listed in Cox & Harvey (1907) as a baptismal font of the Early English period. Cox (1912) writes: "Font is Trans[ition]-Norm[an]; it has a square of 22 in. at top of bowl, with human heads at angles ; bowl carved with conventional foliage." Noted in Pevsner (1970): "Font. Norman, with four corner faces and large trees of life in between." Noted and illustrated in A Snap in Time [http://www.caerkief.co.uk/Churches/Braddock.html] [accessed 13 November 2009] as an Early English font of Pentewan stone. The basin is square at the top but becomes round and is circular at the underbowl moulding; raised on a cylindrical shaft and a quadrangular lower base, both plain. Wooden cover is flat and square.
