Described in Cox & Harvey (1907) as a baptismal font of the Norman period with a bowl made of local Polyphant stone; the same church has a bracket of that material. In Cox (1912): "Font, 30 in. square, has arcaded sides, and is of Trans[ition]-Norm[an] date; circular shaft has star ornament." Pevsner (1970) notes: "Font. Norman, of Purbeck table-top type, square, with eight flat blank niches with pointed heads."
