Listed in Cox & Harvey (1907) as a baptismal font of the Norman period, "rude, early". Described and illustrated in Richards (1973): "The twelfth century font [...] with its cylindrical bowl, provides convincing proof of the existence of a former Norman chapel on the site of the present church. At one time it was wantonly removed from its rightful position, and until brought back into the church in 1855 it served as a water tank beneath the roof."
